I've used SilkyPix since I got the X-E1 six years back, never looked at other software, since it was recommened with the camera. Photoshop is still used for making the adjustments that my other two programs can't do. One for the black tone and the other for Skin Tone.īut we all see the colours we like, I guess, and processing programs are like tools for us to use. In the tools panels, there are 2 WB pickers. Testing with a White Balance Card, SilkyPix seems to be more accurate than C1.īut when it comes to portraits, I only use SilkyPix. With the camera White Balance set to Auto, I usually find C1 is cooler than SilkyPix. With C1, when I open the RAF images, the default settings are mostly what I use. I don't shoot in JPEG, but I have sampled the film simulations and compared them to be close enough for my taste to SilkyPix. My preference is for the colours to be as natural to my eyes, as I recall from the shoot. I've been using SilkyPix Pro for several years and last year, I began using C1 Express (Fuji). Mostly I agree with Charle2, except I have never user Raw Therapee. Is there any chance to get in CO 20 same starting result? There is no doubt that I can get with CO to the same (or very close) point and get same result as with SP9.0. Have someone discovered or tried to resolve on this before? What makes these differences? Picture you can see is just a screen from my monitor, same conditions, light and of course same RAF file. I'm impressed on how similar to the original jpeg file is the view seen on SP9.0 screen compare to CO20. UI is almost "close to hell" but one and very significant thing in comparing CO 20 vs SP 9.0 is how the RAF file is "seen" by each of these two softwares. Lately I downloaded SP ver 9.0 and started to dig it up. As a user of Fuji cameras (and lenses as well) I've been always tempted by SilkyPix offers and promises to deliver and develop "best result" of all raw software.

In general I'm quite happy with the results given me by CO (each version). Currently I'm running CO 20 which I have lately updated from ver.

It wasn't easy to adjust myself but after a couple of months I was able to use CO almost freely. Few years ago I decided to switch from Lr 4 to CO 10. Photography is my hobby, not a profession. My name is Staszek and I'm brand new member of this forum.
